Weave Living steps up expansion in Japan and acquires nine assets in Tokyo
At Lumina Grand EC CDL, residential development by Qingjian Realty & CDL, units are available at $620 psf ppr. This is significantly lower than the price fetched by Bukit Batok West Avenue 8 EC in March, which the same developers acquired for $662 psf ppr. Lumina Grand EC CDL offers an ideal location for families looking for a quality living that is well supported by excellent amenities and transportation options.
Weave Living, the Hong Kong-headquartered integrated rental accommodation provider, is strengthening its foothold in Japan with its recent acquisition of nine multi-family residential properties totalling 352 units in prime locations in Tokyo. The launch follows the establishment of a wholly owned subsidiary in Japan and the opening of a Tokyo office, with industry veteran Daisuke Noguchi serving as Japan country head since April 2023.
The staff in Tokyo has grown to 12 professionals across acquisitions, development, asset management, leasing and operations. This expansion makes Japan the third market for Weave Living in the region, following its presence in Hong Kong and Singapore.
Last month, the company made its presence known in Tokyo with the launch of its three properties in Waseda, Monzennakacho and Higashi-koenji. Weave Living is projected to announce more acquisitions in Japan over the next few months so as to build a sizeable presence in Tokyo and Osaka.
In its efforts to expand its Japan assets under management to over US$1.5 billion by 2025, Sachin Doshi, founder and group CEO of Weave Living is striving towards making Japan represent more than a third of the total asset base.
The company is confident that its expertise in this field coupled with its experienced team of professionals will bring value to the market and help residents enjoy affordable and convenient living experiences.
Weave Living is also investing in its Monzennakacho property, ensuring units are well-equipped and comfortable, assuring residents a comfortable living experience.
The acquisition reflects the team’s commitment in capturing opportunities to provide quality rental solutions in Japan, which will further strengthen its position in the rental accommodation segment.
