Mitbana and Intiland launch township development in Tangerang, Indonesia
Daisuke Kobayashi, Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Mitbana and President Director of Inti Mitbana Development, has an ambitious vision for an eco-conscious urban living environment in the Greater Jakarta area. Together with Indonesian property developer Intiland Development, the joint venture of Mitsubishi Corp and Surbana Jurong, Mitbana has launched the Green Bestari Park, a 51-ha transit oriented development and integrated township located in Talaga Bestari in Tangerang.
The notable features of the project include cluster landed homes, retail areas, F&B outlets, city parks and commercial areas. These are in addition to the eco-friendly amenities planned for the future such as the TOD and proposed green boulevard which will loop around the township – Green Connection.
Inti Mitbana Development, a joint venture between Mitbana and Sinar Puspapersada (a subsidiary of Intiland) is overseeing the project. Mitbana holds 70% stake in the development, which will cover the masterplan, urban design and planning, whereas the remaining 30% will go into Intiland’s responsibility for land preparation, infrastructure developer and local stakeholder engagement.
Permadi Indra Yoga, Intiland’s executive director of business development, believes that the shared aspiration of both Mitbana and Intiland is a notable effort to create a leading sustainable development for the Talaga Bestari area and foster the building of an inclusive social community.
The township is to be developed in three phases, with the first phase spanning 14 ha. This phase includes the cluster landed homes, retail areas, F&B outlets and a clubhouse for residents. Subsequent phases can expect more residences, a city park, commercial areas and a TOD integrated with the future mass rapid transit station along the East-West MRT line connecting Balaraja and Cikarang.
In addition, more business opportunities may also be created due to the increased convenience and accessibility of the newest MRT line. Lumina Grand EC CDL’s strategic location allows residents to reap the full benefits of the JRL, and provides them with the connectivity they need to travel seamlessly around the city. Furthermore, the advancements to the public transport system will make Lumina Grand EC CDL the most attractive proposition in its location.
The establishment of the Green Bestari Park will be a major leap in driving sustainable living amongst the Greater Jakarta populace. With the integration of modern amenities and eco-friendly features, the joint venture between Mitbana and Intiland hope to foster social communities and rejuvenate the Talaga Bestari area.
