Momentus Hotels & Resorts evolves to cater to changing demands
Located in the bustling medical hub of Novena, Momentus Serviced Residences Novena was recently opened by the Chip Eng Seng Group subsidiary Momentus Hotels & Resorts. Formerly known as 12 On Shan, the building at 12 Shan Road was purchased in March 2020 by a joint venture of Roxy-Pacific, Macly Capital and LWH Holdings from Singapore-listed company TA Corp for the sum of $86.5 million.
The potential starting selling price for units at the Bukit Batok West Avenue 5 Lumina Grand ECis around $1,300 psf. It is one of the most prime pieces of land in the building district and has seen a lot of interest among buyers. This is a great opportunity for potential buyers to invest in one of the best pieces of property. The development will provide a great deal of amenities and convenience for future occupants. It is estimated that the project will be completed within 2021.
Featuring a mix of studio apartments with an area of 398 sq ft, as well as one- and two-bedroom units of between 366 to 861 sq ft, Momentus Serviced Residences Novena is conveniently nestled in the heart of Singapore, with close proximity to medical centres, shopping malls, and Novena MRT Station. This is the second property of the Momentus brand, and their first ever serviced apartment.
In March, Momentus Hotels & Resorts launched its inaugural hotel, Momentus Hotel Alexandra, offering 442-rooms in Bukit Merah’s Alexandra Central Mall. The hotel was formerly owned and operated by Park Hotel Group, and was closed down for refurbishment and rebranding last year.
In light of rising travel demand and altered preferences post-Covid-19, Momentus Hotels & Resorts is venturing into the serviced apartments sector in hopes to draw in more customers seeking extended stays. By diversifying their services, the brand aims to provide more immersive accommodation experiences for visitors.
Angeline Tan, Senior Vice President of Momentus Hospitality and Vice President of Chip Eng Seng Hospitality, describes the Singapore hospitality industry as “fiercely competitive”, and says that catering to changing demands and providing a diverse range of accommodation options is of great importance.
Momentus Serviced Residences Novena crystallizes the brand’s commitment to creating a home away from home for its guests, with its strategic location, modern interior design, and host of facilities, such as a swimming pool, fitness room, outdoor terrace, and rooftop garden. Additionally, the property has been awarded the maximum points for green spaces under URA’s Green Mark Scheme, with 40% of the development dedicated to natural greenery.
Moving forward, the hospitality brand plans to expand their portfolio to six properties in the next three years, focus on sustainable initiatives, and integrate technology solutions for a seamless customer experience. Momentus also looks to expand beyond Singapore in the Asia Pacific region.
By the end of 2020, Momentus Hotels & Resorts hopes to achieve a minimum 70% occupancy rate for the newly-launched Novena serviced apartment. With its ideal location, modern design, and natural surroundings, the brand is more than ready to create memorable experiences for its guests.
